MASTERCLAS WITH A. MOIGNARD & M. CHATELAIN ON THE 27th SAMOIS DJANGOFEST
Hi to you all,
The Samois Django fest is organizing a masterclass dedicated to the different aspects of gipsyjazz with two top players Adrien Moignard & Mathieu Chatelain. The class will be held at the “foyer Django” (Samois village’s plaza) and will consist of two workshops, lead guitar and rhythm guitar from 10 am to 12 and then from 2 to 4pm ( possibility to eat at the village plaza between 12 and 2pm).
The worshops are limited to 20 students max and class will be held in french and/or english according to the students languages.

Description of the workshops :
Lead guitar with Adrien Moignard:
• What is improvising in gipsy jazz, artistic development, dialog around the lead guitar
• Working the harmony and how to use it to build up your chorus
• Right hand & left hand technique
• Developping the improvisation paths
• Study of some typical django’s lycs
Rythm guitar with Mathieu Chatelain :
• Historical & musical approach of « la pompe »
• Working on chords, sound and independence
• Correcting bad habits or mistakes, adapted to each student
• Working on typical chord changes in GJ
• Chords enrichments & interaction with the lead player
• Playing some of django’ standards
