Intro Minor Swing page 212

canvascanvas GermanyNew Jürgen Volkert, Geronimo Mateos Audrey
The Intro from Minor Swing on page 212 in the book begins with an a in the seventh fret on the fourth string and an e in the twelfth fret on the sixth string.
I have large hands but i cannot grap this two notes.
It is much easier to grap the a in the seventh fret and the e in the seventh fret one string above.
My question is, how can anyone grip the two notes like they are notated ?

That's the tab for the lead part typically played by 2 different people?

But yeah, that low harmony part I would start on the 5th string 7th fret position and go from there staying in the area between the 4th and 7th frets.

As @Bones said, that should be played by two people. Of course, you could play it all yourself but you would need to refinger it a bit.
