there are tutorials out there on how to program any DVD player to play all formats and zones. I followed the directions, and I can play everything. You just need the DVD remote.
I believe it is all regions, so should play anywhere.
But for anyone who needs to be able to play odd formats, I have long been a fan of French movies and bought a cheap $20 player from K-Mart a few years ago that plays all regions. They may still have them. I found it very useful and at that price went back and bought two more so that is all I use now, one in the lounge, one in the music room and a spare just in case.
