When was that film made? Is Samois really getting far away from the more traditional GJ?

I was at Samois this year for the full five day event. There is GJ being played everywhere: on the island, in the village, and at the two campgrounds that bookend Samois sur Seine. However, the main stage offers up a variety of musical talent and genres, including GJ, and serves the purpose of bringing in a lot more people if it were strictly a gypsy jazz event. My wife preferred the main stage, I preferred every place else. There's a small stage at the opposite end of the event area where you can see some top traditional GJ players perform. My favorite was the Thomas Baggerman Trio with Eva Scholten. When you first enter the island, you begin a musical odyssey of GJ from all directions, coming from players performing on the bank of the Seine, at luthiers' tents, at the picnic tables and chairs, and finally at the small stage at the back end. You can't possibly miss it.

Spotted Rino in there too.
Titi is a well spoken man, I enjoyed listening to him.
Lolo is a bit down on a direction the festival is partially taking.
