Opinions on Vintage Strings 12 fret D-hole

Any thought as to the quality and value of a Vintage Strings Manouche Modele Ochestre Mna-106 Gypsy Jazz Acoustic Guitar?

I am interested in a short scale model since I am mainly thinking of playing rhythm, and I've heard that the shorter scale 12 fret models are slightly easier on the left hand and easier to reach some chords than the long scale guitars. Right now I've got a Chinese Dell Arte DG H1, which isn't a bad guitar, maybe a little over-built (about 4.8 lbs.)

The ebay ad says it's Korean made, but the price looks a little high to me. It seems the 12 fret models often don't sell on ebay or Reverb.com.

Any thoughts? We have absolutely NO place to get GJ guitars here in person, or I wouldn't be asking...

There are many good luthiers around these forums here and you can probably find some nice guitars at a reasonable price. That being said I used a Gitane for many years before upgrading and until I could really hear the difference, I didn't feel like I needed a better guitar.

I wouldn't really want to spend more than 600 on an Asian mass-produced guitar, but you might get lucky and get a good one.

Vintage Strings were not mass produced in a factory. They were made by luthier Jeongwoo Cho in Korea for Vintage Strings based in England. A few years ago the company transformed into JWC guitars and Jeongwoo moved to the UK where he now builds guitars for JWC. So the Vintage Strings Manouche guitars are a cut above the rest - I have a Manouche Moreno 14 fret Oval hole and it's a great guitar.
