I should have checked out the Djangobooks GJ new guitars for sale before posting. MH has a Freschi grande bouche for sale, and it sounds quite nice, reasonably priced, as well. Thanks, Dennis.

I have played a Mauro Freschi 1910 oval.
It had the pliage on top and was nothing short of explosive!
Jacopo Martini from Italy plays the same model.

I have a ticket to see Gonzalo do a house concert in May in the SF Bay area, so hopefully, I'll get to see and hear the Freschi in action. I saw Gonzalo at the same venue last fall, and got to sit about 4 feet in front of him. So close, that when he dropped his pick, I picked it up for him. It was like a master class, just above my head....
