Is this custom-made oval-hole GJ guitar a bad Gypsy Jazz guitar?

    Yeah didn't look like the back was the same wood as the sides. That's unusual.

    If the top is plywood, maybe not so good sound.

    GJ strings available online. Argentines .010 or .011. Expensive.

    It looks like rosewood sides and a mahogany back. I know I have seen photos of old French guitars - Di Mauros and Busatos - which have similar grained and coloured tops. If the guitar was closer I'd probably buy it.
