Hey all.
Taking the plunge into the waters of single coils. I've used mics and currently have the K&K Definity, which has a nice acoustic sound, but at higher volume isn't what I need. Also, my other guitar player has gotten a Peche and the clarity and volume really emphasizes the differences. I'm curious about your opinions on my four main possibilities:
1) Guzz, 2) Peche, 3) Stoner, 4) Krivo---actually played a gig with the Krivo and like the sound and price. Not crazy about the look or no volume knob. Also prefer to be able to plug a line into pickup to avoid bending and eventual shorting out. Price is right tho!
Would especially like to hear from those who've used several or all of above!
Thanks in advance.

I do get worried about the possibility of cable breaking at the pickup connection. If that happens I don't see that there is a fix other than sending it to Jason for repair but I tried to get in touch before and haven't heard back so I'm not sure if that's an option.
Stoner on the other hand has the worse price to performance ratio, only the stoners think they're great, plus I heard stories about reliability issues.

The 2nd reason is I can adjust the pickup when placing it and get a more even tone across the strings. I always had an issue with the Peche that the B string sounded way louder than the E string. I still have that issue with the Krivo but much less so,

Agree with your. Partner was using a Peche and much more electric sounding, both soloing and playing rhythm.
I'm not even after a late Django sound; just wanna hear, be heard, and not have to beat the damn strings so hard!
I appreciate your observations!
Although I think most of the pickups you listed can be equed to sound warm and neutral with the right amp and right settings, Krivo is the easiest to get along with when it comes to that.
I know, I think they're all beautifully designed by themselves but on the guitar I actually prefer the look of Krivo. I like things to match and it's wood finish suits me better.
Was it Krivo that you used?
