Last time I played with Yorgui, he was using a purple 1,5 mm Jim Dunlop pick(same as Bireli).

I file the tip round and use them on my archtops. Although I have began using really thin (by GJ standards) picks on my archtops. I kind of Like the Green Dunlop tortex. I work in a music store and I end up with all kinds of picks in my pockets at the end of the day.

Gary Potter uses the Big Stubby Flatpick from Dunlop.

Do you know if Yorgui use that bireli dunlop1.5 on the Valse Dora and Joseph Joseph videos you posted? Maybe it's the nature of the recordings, but it is the biggest sound I've ever heard coming out of an acoustic. if he gets that sound with the dunlop 1.5, that says a lot. It's hard for me to tell because your whole band sounds really heavy on those videos as well. Do you use the Dunlop 1.5? Thanks again.

I use that pick, I use the fat round end and let the playing shape it over time, cheaper than a Wegan!

I do it as well! Does anyone know if guys like Bireli or Yorgui do that? Or do they just use the pointy part of the pick.
