Schnuckenack passed away in the forenoon of the 16th of April - Easter Sunday. Two weeks before that he had given his farewell concert. So this great person is not a "living legend" any more, but his music is immortal…
Wow, I just ordered the whole collection of MDZ, the little I have heard of his playing is stunning.
Truly a loss.

A sad day indeed Schnuckenack has been one of my favorites for a while. I love his playing he swings hard as hell. I especially enjoy him on Violin and Hans'che on guitar that stuff is hard to beat.
