What repertoire to play?

in FAQ Posts: 26
In case you like to jam with others, in Europe there is a list of songs most people know, the basic repertoire. Useful in case you want to study at home and master the basics.

In case you miss a song (that is well known and played often), please feel free to comment!

Cool. I am only about 30 tunes short of a load! Seriously, what great songs, so much good music in there.

    Hey Melvin,

Fantastic list - a few comments on Keys from my perspective:

Autumn Leaves - sometimes Amin, very often Gmin.

Bei Mir Bist Du Schön - almost always Emin

Night and Day - Very often D

Troublant Bolero - Generally I hear this in E major not Emin

Dream of You - almost always in E

    Cheers,

    B

The ones that throw me are:

    1) Seul ce Soir - usually C except Tchavalo and Dorado in G

    2) Melancholy Baby - Django first recorded in C and then 4 other times in Eb

That pdf opens fine for me.

Bei Mir Bist Du Schön - almost always Emin

Funny because I've never played Bei Mir at any other key but Am (with two different female singers).
