(New) Dearmond / Archtop question

Just got a Gretsch New Yorker with a Rhythm Chief 1100 pre-installed.

Sounds great, but it seems a bit floppy - am I right that there ought to be some cork or foam underneath to stop this (and that's what the little tag is for to hold the pickup against the underside of the scratchplate) ?

thx

@jalapeno the DeArmonds wes sell have little felt pads on the bottom which keep it stable and prevent if from banging against the top.

Thanks - this was installed by the guitar shop, and he said it was 2nd hand. There was a piece of felt but it fell out as the gap between body & pickup was too big. I've used a piece of acoustic foam which seems to be doing the job.
