    I like what I come up with, it's just that it stays just that, a composed solo and very little gets transferred to my playing. But also it's not like I was woodshedding on it a ton.

    I agree on the first part of Joe's thinking but I'm not sure if I agree with the second.
    I think it comes from your mind, the fingers are just a connection between it and the instrument. Like the tires on the car. But if the engine is overpowering the tires and they're spinning then you have to let go off gas pedal and only send what they can handle.

    But fingers are that last link in the chain so I guess it could amount to the same thing Joe was saying. I have a DVD with him and like a lot how he thinks.

    @MichaelHorowitz why is it that forum isn't bumping the thread with each new post? I've noticed it occasionally before too.
