Right hand technique chord soling?

I watched this video and really like the playing of guy in the middle. Does anybody know what he does with the right hand at 3:31 and forward?

I tried to figure out the technique but think that I didn´t get it right.

Best regards

Looks to me like a series of upstrokes on the treble strings.

Maybe you are overthinking it, it seems fairly simple. Maybe you are struggling with the timing. He's doing upstrokes as accents and muting the sound keeping it percussive. If it helps you can relate it as if it was ska Rythm but 16th's rather Than eights (or quarters i think is the most common in that genre)
