Mounting a AER Compact 60-3 to a stand?

Hoping that someone may be able to answer a couple questions for me?

Does an AER Compact 60 (3rd Ed.) mount on a standard mic stand? Do you need an adaptor?

I use one of these:

Konig & Meyer 24521-300-55 3/8 inchx12mm Reducer Flange

but that's only because I mount it on a short heavy stand rather than microphone stand.

I've seen other people use a standard straight mic stand.
