    Interesting ... I've been curious about the wood since I bought it
    The stripes are very striking
    As I said i do need to part with her but not sure where to pitch the price

    Ah, I think I have an old Takeharu gypsy guitar with the same back and sides. Interesting stuff Craig.

    Oh the price ? I have no idea, it seems that there are varying opinions on the sound of these with some people saying they are totally underwhelmed by it. I suppose this is the perfect example of different models of the same guitar - whether or not they're hand or factory made - performing differently. I know this doesn't help you. Could you post some sound clips ?
