    Evan Christopher's interpretation of certain famous tunes may fit what you meant by "darker". Or not. You judge.

    Those guys playing on the street are from a band called New Orleans Swamp Donkeys. Their trumpet player James Williams is basically Louis Armstrong reincarnated! The trained ear can tell he has spent years working on the Satchmo sound.

    guuuuuyss!!!!! it was totally some blues. Ive been listening to some old cab calloway and found this:



    It is starting to get pretty close. Not so much the guitar scale that this dude was using but its getting pretty dark and moody like i was wanting.
