In their culture, they care less about accurate lyrics and more about having just the opportunity to sing, so anyone who learns the lyrics to songs in Romani doesn't care about getting the "correct" lyrics and sings it however he/she wants. Tcha is probably an exception to this, but he got the lyrics from his dad.
Lancy Falta, a guitarist in Germany, told me that his dad Bobby wrote the song. He was one of Schnuckenak Reinhardt's guitarists.
Anyway, it's very taboo to share the language with non-Gypsies, and if someone shares it publicly , I'd rather it be straight from the community, but I can tell you that the song is rather simple:
guy asks some other guy where his lady went, because he, apparently guy #2, saw her. And then he whines about her leaving him :-)
Most Manouche songs in Romani have really primitive lyrics like this, with the exception of Bamboula Ferret. You can hear recordings of his songs with Fapy Lafertin.
