Gitane DG-320 bridge question

Hi,

I have just purchased a second-hand gitane DG-320 to replace my former gitane D500 (12th-fret body wasnt ideal for me). Plus its a bit of an upgrade in quality I think.

I noticed the bridge is much nicer that the D500 one, which seemed "bulky" and soft. Probably rosewood.
The DG-320 one looks more hard and glossy black, with very clear edges (ebony I guess).
I didnt know that was a difference between both models, and since I always hear complains about Gitane bridges, I'd like to have your opinion (specially if you own a DG320) about this bridge.

Is it worth to consider a bridge replacement for the DG320?
Cheers,
Guig
