I wanted to add to this conversation and bring light to an album I listened to a whole lot last year:
The Good Life by Olivarez Trio. Rick I forgot your user name so I can't tag you... Rick is incredibly good composer in this genre. I'm especially impressed by his "Fara Somn Pa'la Craiova". Jealous even, at how he was able to get into the groove of Gypsies in that part of Europe. I enjoy listening to each track on this album though, it really is special.

Wanted to throw this out there, a friend turned me onto this album. Total gem of the genre.
