Here's a lead sheet on a variation of the above that was being played at the jams this week at Djangofest.
I'm always interested in jamming with experienced jazz and gypsy jazz players in the San Francisco - San Jose area. Drop me a line. Bass players welcome!
I think the title is "Waves of the Danube" and Romane just calls it Danube on his CD "Acoustic Quartet."
On another part of this forum I posted an inquiry about a video that was on You Tube but removed. It had Romane playing "Danube" with Fanto and Ya Yo Reinhardt and I believe Marc-Michel Le Bevillion - an excellent rendition - to my mind even better than Romane's album trac!
I think the changes that Romane uses are very similar to those posted by Jack. I would love to find out about that concert and that video. I suspect it might have come from a DVD of a concert and that is why You Tube pulled from their site?
Thanks,
Tom
