Dupont MD50 2003 with thick neck? Help evaluating

Good evening,
I met a person selling a Dupont MD50 2003 but there is something "strange": the neck is not "thin" as many MD50 I tried before but it's very much thick. Do you think is this possible or I should investigate more / avoid to buy?

Thank you

do you mean in terms of the width (left to right) at the nut (~46 mm or 1 13/16 inches), or do you mean neck thickness (front to back)? 22mm or so is typical. See this thread:

Thank you Andrew for your help, English is not my main language

It is very thick - does Dupont creates such different sizes of neck for the same model?

I'll bet @MichaelHorowitz would better be able to answer if Dupont makes the MD50 with different shaped necks. I don't see on the Dupont website any place for custom orders, but I suppose anything is possible.

@Andrew Ulle On Dupont's regular models the neck specs are always exactly the same. His necks a very modern, with a gentle C shape and a 1 3/4" nut. However, people order custom specs from time to time so anything is possible. I've ordered slimmer necks as well as wider nut widths for some people.
