David Reinhardt's Di Mauro pickup

ChrisMartinChrisMartin Shellharbour NSW Australia✭✭ Di Mauro x2, Petrarca, Genovesi, Burns, Kremona Zornitsa & Paul Beuscher resonator.
Just watching Bireli's Jazz at Vienne DVD again and I was impressed by the sound of David Reinhardt playing a Di Mauro 'Boogie Woogie' model. It seems to have been refinished in a very red shade of lacquer, but I was wondering what is the pickup hanging off the end of the fretboard?

It looks similar to the Shadow AZ48 at a guess, but I just liked the tone he gets on that version of Nuages.
The Boogie Woogie is a short scale 12 fret model and while great for rhythm is not generally considered a solo guitar, but with the gentle arrangement and David's light touch it has the perfect tone.
Anyone know?
