Would the ToneWoodAmp device bring anything to gypsy jazz?

I have been reading about using the ToneWoodAmp device for electroacoustic guitars to produce effects like delay and reverb without an amp.
Sounds intriguing and I’m wondering if there have been any attempts by GJ players to adopt it.

it's a unique concept, I can hear the reverb sounding like it is regenerating which is usually not the sound of a high end verb, still extremely handy and might be nice on a gypsy Jazz ballad, but for most GJ a dry sound of course is preferable. Switching on for a solo and off for rhythm might require a bit of fudging, but again never seen this so it's pretty cool.
