Joe Pass beat years of Heroin addiction and went on to become one of the legends of the guitar ( Joe is better known than anyone in the Gypsy jazz genre with the exception of Django himself). There is no reason that Jimmy Rosenberg (who I think is a superb guitarist) cannot do the same.
I for one, hope that Jimmy makes a comeback, conquers his demons and shares with all of us his tremendous talent.

He may never operate at 100% again bit his playing is still , undeniably, 'Jimmy'. I sincerely wish him the best and I hope he is surrounded by the right people.
