Fret markers

I am very pleased with the Stagg JZ 120 but the absence of fret markers on the side of the fretboard is challenging.
Is that a usual thing on gypsy jazz guitar?

No, not the usual for modern guitars, although my 50+ year old DiMauro does not have side markers.

Some of my GJ (and classical) guitars didn't have them either. I just put some tiny dots on the side of the neck with paint or nail polish (frets 3, 5, 7, 10 etc.). Ik prefer it that way.

Some do, some don't...Django's Selmer didn't have. Not sure about other Selmers.

I also painted them on with a white nail polish. It looks ghetto but I don't care.

Thanks guys, I've order some fret markers and will install them carefully.

easy install. get the plastic rod from Stew Mac, drill a shallow hole (1/8" or so) glue in with plastic binding glue from Stew mac. Cut off just a little proud of the surface and carefully sand flush.
