50’s Danelectro tube amp

mikegnikmikegnik Southern NJ, Philly✭✭ Bumgarner #47, 50’s Castelluccia round hole
Hello everyone,

In case it is of any interest to the group, I thought I would share a little clip I made of this unusual early 50’s Danelectro tube amp I received back from the shop yesterday. Playing a little Nuages on my thinline Tele, neck pickup. Pushing the amp a bit for some breakup. It has a field coil speaker which means the speaker itself receives voltage as it has an electromagnet, not a permanent magnet.

Cheers,
Michael

Nothing like those old tube amps - I haven't seen a speaker like that since working on antique radios & TVs back in the 70's.
