How many choruses per solo?

Hi, Andreas. I'm interested in purchasing your gypsy fire book, but I have a question:

How many choruses of solos have you written for each song?

On another note, I'd like to ask how you setup your live rig with the Schertler Basik pickup, and if you have any advice on how to use it.

Hi,
There's 30 licks and 4 solos included in Gypsy Fire. Two of the solos (China Boy and Shine) are 2 choruses each and the other two (Blue Bossa & Minor Swing) are 4 choruses each.
I think there's a lot of useful stuff in there

To answer your pick-up question:
Since I got my new AJL GF 2005, I've been using to Schertler Basik sometimes combined with a microphone in front of the guitar. I got a bit tired of the electric sound that you get from Big Tone or B-Band piezzos.
The Basik provides a nice vintage sound but it might be nice to combine it with the Schertler Blue stick, I haven't tried that combination yet..
