Had a play with some video colourisation techniques. I used the black and white copy off youtube. If anyone has a higher quality version I could use please let me know..

That's so cool. Even though it's obviously not the "real" color footage, it gives such a deeper sense that Django and his band were real human beings like you and me. Thanks for making/sharing!

not on topic of Django, but colorizing - did anyone see this film? They used the latest colorizing techniques to colorize 100-year old film from WWI. Looks amazing.

Are there any colour photos of Django? I believe the famous photos of him in Samois are colorised. Maybe the photo of Django with Fred Astaire?

The only true colour photos of Django ever published are the three taken at Samois by Herve Derrien.
