Darren, would you have any insight on how to build a nylon Maccaferri with tailpiece? Jean Paul Sardin is the only luthier I've found that does it without the normal classical bridge.
I'm building one for myself but the bracing for a floating bridge nylon guitar with doming has been elusive.
You could talk with Al Carruth, who has built nylon string archtops with tailpieces.

What did you decide about the resonator anchor? My instinct would have been to change (make into a regular brace) or remove this (if the top were thick enough)
