Missing records in Spotify

I've noticed that some albums are not available on spotify due to various causes (copyrights or whatever). Among those the very good Romane+Frederic Manoukian Orchestra album of 2001.

Anyone else with this kind of problem?

There's a lot of that on Spotify. The worst is when you've been listening to something, then gets pulled from the catalogue. For a while they removed Babik Reinhardt and now it's back again. On the upside there's a ton of Romane albums which wasn't the case before.

I sent them emails a couple of times asking about that but would just get some kind of general reply. Some publishers just don't want to make their catalogue available for streaming? Like you said, who knows

Yes. It seems all of his discography (even the Fremeaux Intégrale versions) is available but that one album.

It could also be the way the distribution is managed. It costs $ to get music on platforms and sometimes to keep it there, too.

Sometimes if you make a playlist and the album "disappears" you can still listen to it via your playlist, even though you can't find it via arttist profile or search function anymore. That's why i have many "album only" playlists.
