This series is quite excellent. The transcriptions are perfect, and at 110 tunes per book there's no shortage of material. However, there is a slight drawback to the series: I think that most people interested in purchasing these books would do so to have the scores for such compositions as Passion, Indifference, Flambee Montalbanaise, Swing Valse, etc. These songs are all here, but they are spread throughout the 6 volumes, with a lot of "filler" material. Also, chord accompaniments for vols. 2 and 3 are written in solfege. All in all, a good buy.
Francophones should also check out the forums at the Jo Privat web site SwingJO (http://swingjo.apinc.org/home.php).
