Simple question about the Button Pick

Does it have grooves like the other wegens? I can't tell from the pictures.

No, it doesn't, which I found made it hard to handle. It doesn't have a thumb depression either. I'm M. Wegen would be glad to make you some with whatever features you like, though.

    Best,
    Jack.

Indeed the grooved/depressed center is what I want. I think I'll try the Trimus 500 and maybe wear down one of the corners with some ultra-fine sandpaper.

    Thanks for the info!

For a rounder tip in the Trimux style you can look at the m-series. If you want something in 5 mm with a rounder tip I suggest you contact Michel Wegen directly and ask for a custom Fatone with a rounded tip (he can pretty much make any tip on any pick).

I would recommend you try a Button before you decide that the shape is for you. I can use it for rhythm, but I find it clumsy, and I can't get the very thick, blunt shape to work at all for lead.
