Hello everyone!
I am new here and very happy to join this community, I was wondering if you can help me with this:
After two intenses years learning manouche through the internet (I sometimes felt like it was oral transmission with Django! Thank you Adrian Holovaty, Dennis Chang, and all the great musicians that make it possible) I was considering to take a gap year or two to study seriosuly and move somewhere in Europe.
I have been looking through the internet but this task it is not so easy. I don´t know if there is any conservatoire specialised in this like a degree program, and I would be very pleased if you could tell me where is the european scene. France? Belguique? Pay bas?
What do you suggest? thank you very much, Onio

Paris, of course, will be the best to immerse yourself in this music!
You have Swing Romane Académie, also Ecole de jazz manouche .. and you can take some private lessons with Samy Daussat for surprisingly affordable prices. But honestly you will learn a tonne just going to the jams and playing with les gars, which you can do pretty much any night of the week.
And visits to e.g. netherlands for events such as Grappelli camp etc will be just a short train ride away
