#2 Bridge

My wife was in Seattle last week so I had her go to Dusty Strings to pick up a #2 bridge for my DG250M. I thought the #2 would be second from the lowest height, but its second from the highest. I live in Canada and don't really want to return it. Its 15/16" high, and since I want 4mm max at the 12th fret this will have to be shaved down. Question is...they are hollowed out underneath - what is the maximum I could take off the bottom of the feet, before that hollow part gets too close to the outer surface of the ends of the bridge. I think I need to get an entire 3/32" off.

Read my post on fitting a bridge blank. You want to take it down from the top after you fit the feet.

Taking a bit off the top also enables you to tweak the compensation, especially on that pesky "B" string.

Yes good point... The B string is really a bugger
