i have played gj for awhile, but lately i have been noodling with a little bach and while i think he is very gypsy jazz compatible i would like to get a classical guitar without breaking the bank to see how they work. any ideas on that would be appreciated; and if this is inappropriate for this forum, apologies.

I happen to have a very nice one for sale. I took classical lessons for two years but eventually decided that it was distracting me too much from GJ. You can see it here:
Note that the price is in Canadian $, it will be much less in US$.

I've been very happy with my La Patrie classical. They're made in Canada from domestic materials and overall solid instruments. I have the Motif model which is the parlor size, but the other models I've played from them all sound and play great. I'm not a classical guitarist by any means so I couldn't tell you how "authentic" they are, but they seem to be great value for what you get.
