Good point. I guess once trained it's supposed to be highly feedback resistant... but that's just a guess. You could always put another preamp with such features in the chain, if you needed it. But then simplicity of the setup is no more. And unless you own one already it wouldn't make sense to buy something for that reason only.
By the way I picked up one of those Mighty Plugs from Nux. It's great for electric guitar practice with headphones. Plenty of usable sounds. Just spent the evening tweaking it and jamming along. Crazy cool piece of technology for $70.
Acoustic models don't really sound like an acoustic guitar to me. But it's a very nice sound in itself. Really pleasant clean electric sound. I'll try with my guitar, I'm sure it would work and if you had to you could even do a show if you had nothing else.

Can’t see a phase switch or notch filter on this preamp. I wonder whether that would be an issue.

I own a Baggs Venue DI and I couldn't imagine not being able to use the phase and notch filter on a gig. The Tonedexter has both built in.
You're right Buco, I wouldn't want to faff about with two preamps when I could manage with one.
This looks interesting from LR Baggs

Sounds like fun.
I wonder what the acoustic guitar sound is like with a Selmer style guitar and piezo pickup.
