Pick ups

Any cheap GJ pickups that can do a decent job. I know I know to "buy cheap is to buy dear", but i dont have a lot of cash to splash.

So any thoughts???

Some players here seem to like the Manouche Picks pickup. There’s one for sale here on the forum as of today, or you can order one for about $95. That’s a good price for a pickup.

Don't know what's available on the UK Amazon but you can get basic piezzo for $10 in the US:

I have a Kleio pickup on ebay right now, a good copy of the original Stimer 48, made to fit an oval hole or 'petite bouche' type guitar. Sounds great, just like late '40s electric Django and there are some good demos on Youtube, particularly by Dmitry Kuptsov.

Of course you need to check your guitar will accept the clip on type, ie no fingerboard extension over the soundhole and no brace within 25mm of the top edge of the hole.
