One year ago, I went to Oslo to take part in a documentary about Jimmy Rosenberg's life.
They filmed him at a festival, in the studio and also at his home in Holland. Here is a preview, enjoy:

thank you andreas, any idea when it will be released?

i have another documentary of him from 1992 or something, he's playing video games , doing karate or kungfu or something like that...and u see him with the gipsy kids

I'm not sure when the complete movie will be released. They taped many hours so this little preview seems to be just a "pilot-episode" and hopefully some TV- or movie company will like the idea and go for it

This was recorded a year ago and from what I've heard, Jimmy is not doing so good today

yes i know of his condition right now, it's very sad because he is extremely talented; i wish i could help but at the same time, I really would like to see that film!

I had no idea Jimmy Rosenberg was having such a rough life. And hes only my age! Sad, how his immense talent probably deprived him of having any kind of normal childhood. I hope he gets well.

I too hope Jimmy recovers soon. He is one of the first players I heard play this style outside of Django. He is the guy that made me originally want to play this music. Like you V-dub he is my age (actually he is a year or so older than I am) I do hope we her ein the U.S. get to see this Documantary in it's entirety.
