Hey guys, all the gigs got cancelled so i've decide to put more work of my 4tet on youtube for people to enjoy. Here is a version of Farewell blues, a 1928 swing tune that django played in the late 30s or early 40s, great tune !! played on a 2004 dupont MD50 that i like a lot.

Delightful.
The sound is great Romain, did you have a line directly out of the mixing deck or something here? Good mix, everything clear and balanced.
thanks Bill !!
Cheers Wim, yes indeed, it's the mixing deck line out ;) people often say they sound bad, but i've used it on other clips in the channel and those sound terrific :
I Surrender dear" at django fest fontainebleau
"Fine and Dandy" at Jacques Prevert theater outside Paris
Wow, that's the best straight from the mixer sound I've heard. When Wim asked I was thinking it can't be, they're usually very dry and lifeless. Yours is exactly the opposite. And great playing and great song, can't recall hearing this one before.
@Buco, I consider Farewell Blues to be @Duved Dunayevsky's breakout tune back when he was doing his Hot Five!
Great playing, tone and soloing!

I'll look for it, thanks!
Duved is the best!
Well, I like Duved a lot but in this particular thread Romain is the best.
