    It would be fun to hear him interpret Django's interpretation of Fats Waller's Honeysuckle Rose to bring a sort of "telephone game" full circle.

    I've long had a feeling that a lot of Django's ingenious use of guitar was inspired by him hearing interesting stuff on other instruments, stride piano being near the top of that list, then looking for ways to recreate the sound he heard on the guitar.
