At the moment I have only a 12-fret guitar, and I notice that I adapt to playing way up onto the fret extension; it's not as big a deal as people think.
Also, Django's sound in the J'Attendrai video (and all prior recordings with short scale guitars) is just fine in my opinion.
If you closed your eyes and listened to someone A/B this Holo with various 14-fret guitars, I'll bet it would at least hold its own!
