Dang, that’s what I need to be doing.
I always end up lifting a lick or two from a solo and then just running it into the ground. Learning the entire thing, to the point where you can play to the recording, yeah as stated above...... That’s what I need to be doing!
Artillerie Gourd should be in there, but with a bit more imagination I guess we could jam on Cou Cou Cucurbita, or The Squash of Araby? But we would need some accompaniment with le Pompe(kin).

But can't help wondering: first it was the Quecumbar, now we have My Meloncholy Baby and the 1920’s standard Little Courgette.
Where will this gypsy swing fascination with the Cucurbitaceae family take us next?
