Subtitles are in French, but can be auto-translated to English via youtube "settings"...

Very stoked to see this. Was only able to watch the intro with Dominique before I had to go to dinner, but look forward to listening. What a great artifact and story, to be able to hear this first hand account from Chaput.

It is a really interesting interview with Roger Chaput. He not only talks about Django but the music, the people and the life of that period. It is fascinating to listen to someone who was actually there. He makes some very interesting comments about Django, Stephane Grappelli and Charles Delaunay. It also Includes some excellent photographs. - Well worth watching with the English subtitles.

Indeed! "Delaunay would have wanted to be a musician, but he could not play anything - not even drums!"

    Exemplary documentary film making.

The interview itself is pure gold and the accompanying images and historical documents enrich it even more.
