disabling aer phantom power

Has anyone ever turned off the phantom power on an AER compact 60? It says that it's on by default, and you have to open the amp to disable it via a "jumper". I have a microphone that isn't happy with the phantom power, and I don't know much about opening these up!

I'm sure you (or somebody else) could build an external box that would be between the amp and the microphone and could do the job of disabling the phantom power.
