    Interesting. The last one I built has a pliage but I'll have to go back and check what neck angle I ended up with. I also had a taper shim of ebony glued on between the fingerboard and the body which worked out perfectly.

    @littlemark thank you! I recorded a few videos today and decided to post one so you can get a feel of what it sounds like. I recorded this on an iPad. I’ll try to post another video with this BYO and my Gitane as comparison as well...

    With a top pliage angle of 6 degrees I ended up with a 3 degree neck angle and a taper shim between the fingerboard and top that had about 2mm of taper. This yielded about a 17mm bridge height. Note that this is for a 14 fret short scale. YMMV depending on parameters.
