the tone is unlike anything I've ever heard come out of a guitar
That pretty much sums it up when it comes to Tchavolo.
Strong right hand and totally unique "happy and bouncy" rhythm. I remember thinking 10 years ago or so how Yorgui Loeffler had a similar attack and rhythm, haven't heard him in a while though. Check him out too, playing a song Tchavolo was known for: https://youtu.be/4edV-p-I2P4
