That's a pretty good assemblage of talent right there! Interesting how Dennis Chang was just speaking yesterday about guitarists trying to branch out into straight ahead jazz, but being pigeon-holed as "GJ." This is most definitely a straight-ahead jazz album. I like it.
All good if it is good music (love everything Adrien does). One of the things I love about GJ is you can vibrato, bend, do all kinds of tricks you don't do in normal jazz. Sure straight ahead has way more people aware of it but I find the diverse amount of techniques in GJ more alluring once you incorporate modern harmony (love the old stuff too but saying there are no things that can't be done in GJ when incorporating a modern approach).
