Emily Remler's Wrist
I was just watching Emily Remler playing Blues For Herb and noticed that her wrist was positioned for a rest stroke quite a lot of the time. I assume that she didn't really care about rest strokes and used primarily alternate picking. What a great song with excellent playing all around. The bass player, Steve Bailey, was incredible and the drummer's solo was one of the best I've ever heard. Wonder if she ever played any "Django style" or acoustic guitar?

Oh yeah, as soon as saw the title, I could imagine Emily's hand position. Cool catch. It reminds me of how a lot of modern players position their right hand; Adrien etc. It must've influenced her tone.
She looks to me about 20% upstroke picking, maybe more? Pretty far from rest-stroke IMHO.
