I build lefty L-5 type archtops, I’m a lefty small-gig weekly player and I’ve built instruments for 35+ years. I also play GJ and do setups. Dm me if you want to maybe do a trade.
Most recent axe is:
(Note the bridge doesn’t align with the f-hole centers- that’s intentional, based on a lot of builds and research)
Woods on this ^ are:
Sitka Spruce (personally harvested in Alaska 1992, carefully seasoned since).
Heel block, neck block, linings, and all braces are from the same old-growth wedge as the top.
Slovenia Maple back and sides
Eastern Maple/Walnut neck sandwich
Indian Rosewood fingerboard
Old scrounged lovely ebony tailpiece and bridge.
